back in the 80's when i first heard this, think i was at the zenith of instrumental euphoria. David Garibaldi is one of the best drummers of the bay area. saw tower in 90. was 16 at the time, and favorite album is east bay grease (1970) pure soulful bliss!

you'll hear some amazing organ with bass pedal riffin about 5-1/2 into the song. i think the song might bring goosebumps and it's instrumental. %%%%%%%%%#####

TOP's great calling is that they are so tight. You get "tight" with improvisational jams.

Well yeah, but I'd imagine it's impossible to improvise in a horns' section though, because they would practically have to be psychic to play the same notes.

I remember when I played Lenny Pickett's solo verbatim; some of the guys in my jazz band were laughing cause I couldn't figure out any better improvisational lines by myself. Yeah, I was more a copy-cat than an individualist in those days. But his solo was so monstrous to me, I was dumbfounded to create anything on my own.
