...this was a statement so powerful and so simple that most people wouldn't get it. Given how the concept conveyed by this commercial was presented, this easily ranks as one of the best 10 commercials I've ever seen - period.

Think "ripple" and you'll have the right general idea. The intention was to show that voting for him would have made a ripple effect that would have persisted for a very long time, inasmuch as the ripples/waves made by, well, chucking a rock in a pond would last well after the rock hit the water.

I like this ad. It's a nice break from all those negative ads that get so annoying. If you can make an effective ad without saying a single word then you are a genius. Of course, Gravel never had a chance at getting the nomination.
