The thing that I like about how Elaine Page played the part... she came in, not caring if they would strike her down or smite her.
This was one of the most powerful and emotional songs I've ever heard, and one of the things that still sends chills through me is when the cat that pitied her throughout the whole movie sang... and it gave her the strength to stand up... sing with all her heart.... That just sent chills down my spine, because she was finally accepted.
