Israel renaissance began in 1870s. There were Jews who were living there long before, in Jerusalem, Tiberias, Yavne, Yaffo. Jews settled in a province of the Ottoman empire, the land owner since 15th century. They bought the land. There were no "palestinian" state, even a claim. It's like telling
