One of my favorite drum solos. With enough practice, you *might* be able to copy some things other drummers do, but cant ever copy Vinnie, he does the impossible.

i like vinnie
´s drumming, specially his grooving. but when he plays a solo i can not feel the energy behind it. even with all his technique... i find it a bit boring. i hope not to offend you, guys, its just my opinion...

I agree with JoaquinAhumada. Vinnie has great technique, but you don't feel anything with this particular solo. This is a great Count Basie song - Butch Miles would normally burn during this song - and please did mention the great Sonny Payne. A lot of today's dummers are all technique and NO soul. Please don't get me wrong, Vinnie is a great drummer - but today's drummers are hoodwinked into thinking a fast double bass drum is all that's needed to be a good drummer.

As amazing as this solo was way back when, it's even more amazing to see him play today. He has grown so much and has gotten so much more amazing. Long live Vinnie.
