For me, the lyrics mean that we keep getting stuck in the same everyday cycle of shit, and compares that to flies in a jar of Vaseline. You can't escape. They split up because Scott is a heroin addict and it was a problem for the rest of the band. Like gohyperstrike said, they are back together, and actually still sound amazing live -- saw them over the summer.

I am going to see the Stone Temple Pilots tribute band, Big Empty on Saturday, Dec. 6. They are playing Frank Cariola's Sundance in Rocky Point, Long Island, NY. This group also appears the same night as a Foo Fighters tribute band, Monkey Wrench. Amazing.
